Coordinator: Scheme Events
Scheme is a must-have for planning an out-of-state wedding. They were worth every penny of their fee. I only used Scheme for day-of coordination, but I would ask them plan the entire wedding if I had to do it all over again.
Traci was our lead contact at Scheme and she had two associates with her all day for the wedding. Scheme provided vendor recommendations and contacted all of our vendors (about 10-12) prior to the wedding. They produced a detailed list of vendors and a wedding timeline. Traci attended our ceremony rehearsal and our final meeting with Bellagio's catering director and head waiter the day before the wedding. At the meeting, Traci and the catering director reviewed the room diagram and went over a timeline that was detailed to five minute increments (this was way over my head...I mostly just tried to nod intelligently during this meeting).
On the day of the wedding, Scheme transported everything from our hotel room to the reception, met vendors for deliveries and ensured everything was set up correctly in the reception rooms. Scheme also did a great job of keeping Groom and I separated prior to the ceremony and was a huge help with keeping us on schedule during the entire day and during the reception.
The best thing about Scheme is that I really don't know the details regarding what they did. All I know is that everything went smoothly. I suspect there might have been a few minor glitches, but if there were: 1) I didn't notice them and 2) I wasn't told anything about it...someone just fixed it. Before the wedding, I woke up late, had breakfast delivered, gambled (and lost big...boo!), went back to the suite for hair and makeup, ate a late lunch, took some pictures with Todd and then walked to the ceremony. I didn't have to worry about contacting vendors or set-up. My only responsibility was arriving at the ceremony on time. Even as detailed as the Bellagio catering department was, I was reassured having Scheme oversee all of the details. That piece of mind was easily worth their fee.
